BIO

loretta deay graham

Loretta was born singing and smiling and probably crying. From singing in plays during parochial school to her first spoken line, “the Frenchman struck him first, but the blow was not that great”, during the Joust scene in her high school rendition of Camelot. She knew that the creative arts were her means of self- expression and audience satisfaction and sometimes participation.

 

Loretta was known primarily as a Griot, the West African, word for Storyteller, a title which she carried for over four decades.  She has recently been introduced to her ancestral background, placing her in the royal line of the Kinte clan, who were Griots, Arietians, and peace-loving people.

 

Loretta studied Theatre at the Hedgerow Theatre School, Temple University, in addition, she has trained with Kenneth McGregor, John Sudal and John Canada Terrell and currently she is revising her Improvisational skills with Sharon Geller.

Loretta is a published author her self-care book can be found on Amazon titled, The ABZ’s of Sanity, she has also published a historical fiction, titled, Ned Hector, Revolutionary War Hero, which is scheduled for a rewrite soon.  She and her sister have authored a television pilot and she is currently writing another book in her ABZ series.

Loretta is an accomplished Theatre, Film, and Voice Over Actress. She has three commercials one national and has filmed in Creed2.

Loretta is an entrepreneur and is interested in creating wealth for her legacy and community.
